Almost a year...

How sad - it's been almost a year since I last posted a blog here. That's how busy I've been. I was doing a lot better about keeping up my professional blog (http://teacherofthe21stcentury.blogspot.com/), but I haven't posted there in a while either. That probably has something to do with the fact that I am now the only Instructional Technology Specialist at work. There were there - now there is 1. Very scary, but so far I've been doing okay. We do plan to hire another person (and did try), but because of teacher contracts (which were already signed), we will have to wait until March or April to post the position again.

Aaron and I are doing well. Aaron finished his bachelor's degree in Computer Science this past May (yeah Aaron!) and I started my master's degree in Instructional Technology this past January (what was I thinking? :)). I am about to finish 18 hours of a total of 33 hours. I will take 6 hours in the spring (2009), 3 hours 1st summer session, 3 hours second summer session, and 3 hours next fall (2009). Then I'll be done. I can't wait!

Pretty much between work and school I don't have much time for anything else. Aaron has helped out around the house quite a bit, but most of my spare time is taken doing laundry and cleaning. Hence the reason it's been almost a year.

Jacob has also gotten a brother - Ethan James - since the last time I posted. He was born in July and Aaron and I were almost present for his birth. We were there the week he was due on vacation, but he decided to wait until we were gone. We did bring Jacob back home with us. My parents were going back that way about 4 days after we got home and Cody and Heather were afraid Ethan would come while no one was there. We had a great time with Jacob. He's such a good boy - how did my brother luck out? :) haha

Well - this post (for not having posted in a year) is short and sweet, but my cousin, Heather, has started a blog and she inspired me to post. Thanks Heather! Visit her blog: Jurajda's Ark.

Maybe I'll start posting more regularly... :)
