The last time I posted to my blog was March of 2010. It is now September 2012.
My how time flies when you're having fun - or at least having kids! :-)
Our first daughter arrived in May of 2011 - Hailey. We tried and tried to get pregnant and, in August 2010, were thrilled when we found out we were expecting. Then, in January 2011, were thrilled to find out we were having a little girl. My what an experience that all was. Hailey joined the world and forever changed our lives.
That first year was amazing and a blur. She learned to crawl and then soon after walk. Now it is all I can do to keep up with her! She is just now learning to talk and can say mama, dada (which, of course, was her first word), and has recently added "button" to her vocabulary (she loves to press buttons). She talks up a storm, though, so when she actually starts speaking words, I'm going to have a time keeping up with her and what she tells me! :-)
Fast forward to Christmas (and I do me fast forward because, as all parents know, time sure does fly!) and I had been feeling run down and extremely tired. I just though it was from taking care of and now chasing a 7 month old, but, after about a week, Aaron convinced me to take a pregnancy test.
I couldn't be pregnant, right? I mean it took us a year and a half to get pregnant with Hailey. It just isn't possible! I took the pregnancy test as I was getting into bed the night before Christmas Eve (or as we refer to it... Christmas Eve Eve...). It was positive! I got into bed and told Aaron it was positive, but was pretty sure I had done something wrong and I planned to take the test again. After taking two more tests (for those of you counting - that would be three total), both also coming up positive, I was, sort of, convinced it was true. :-)
After the holidays I made an appointment with my OB who scheduled me for a sonogram seeing as how I wasn't sure when I got pregnant and how far a long I was. Turns out I was just about to start my second trimester! Talk about things moving a long quickly - I was already done with the first trimester! :-)
In July of 2012, Madison joined the McDaniel family and our family of 2 has grown to a family of 4 in the last two years. Both girls bring joy to our lives and I wouldn't have it any other way!
